most of you who know me at all know i have a terrible addiction to eBay. it's so bad that i had to swear off it years ago and have not permit myself to even browse. i don't even mean this in a comical fashion. i literally have a real and actual problem with spending money on eBay.

and today i visited. and i searched. and i piled things high on my "watch" list. and it is a terrifying thing. because watching leads to bidding and bidding leads to buying.

but, see, i really need a 19th century horse "cyclopedia". i've been needing one for years. and there's one coming up in the next week that looks like exactly what i need. see?

and i want this one too.

and this one.

and maybe this one.

and this has nothing to do with horses, but i'm pretty sure i need it too.

and even though it's not exactly right, i wouldn't mind having this dental journal if only because dentistry materials are hard to come by and so freakin' expensive and this one seems reasonably priced (so far).

see what happens?

i haven't bid on anything yet. but i will. and these books may look cheap now, but those prices are going to rocket, i'll bet, unless they somehow fall under the radar.

we can only wait and see.

and then bid bid bid like there's no tomorrow.

this is like crack. someone call for an intervention.

hahahahaha ~ i was just trying to share the pain!

hurts, don't it?

: D

this morning i totally wrote the train-falling-from-the-sky thing in my head and realized (in that oymyGod sort of way) that some time back i'd posted about wheels on fire in the sky ~ and how cool is this: i can weave the two together.

weeeeeee!

Oh yes! I remember you and your quest for images of fiery wheels! I think that was the reason why I friended you...(gah, I just also just remmebered I was supposed to go digging through my Byzantine art texts for you....)

And what sort of shape did the train-falling-from-the-sky thing take on? Sharesies? :)

well so far it's just literally a train falling from the sky, but i think it will be a recurring dream that evolves until the train has eyes and wings and whatever ophanim qualities it needs. i still need a source, though, to make the eventually shape of it make sense.

have no idea whether it will work, but i'm excited by the prospects.
