i am a little run down and got off to a slow start this morning, but i finally have all the materials i need to work on my ADV contract (whew!) ~ so i got started on that (a week late already). i have a lot to do to catch up, but if i'm diligent, i can get it hammered out.

i caught up on NaNo yesterday with a 3,500 word marathon, but i'm just shy of 38k and still 12k to go. 2k a day and i will make it, but i've written bupkis today.

seen a handful of movies worth talking about but haven't had a chance to sit still and write something up. Good Night and Good luck (the MaCarthy/Murrow story) was really fine (and i love David Strathairn ~ named a character after him). The Reckoning (Wilhem Dafoe and Paul Bettany) was a good story with a poorly executed script (and strange directorial choices). And Snow Walker, a charming little "lost in the tundra" story ~ lots of nice snow. consider this a placeholder for when i can get back to actual reviews for these. tonight i am watching 21 grams (yeah, i'm slow). i tried to find To End all Wars that dsyndicate recommended, but vulcan didn't have it ~ foo on that.

in news of the move: tentative date for launch is december 1st now. feh. i will get the truck tuesday night, load it wednesday, and leave early a.m. thursday. i have not arranged for movers on the far end yet, but i'm getting wiggy because we'll pull into town friday night and i need someone there saturday a.m. to unload.

i'll figure it out, i guess.

Not doing NaNo, but I've been in a writing frenzy lately, trying to get things caught up. Finished a piece that I'd been working on for a friend, sent it out, realized it needed to be re-edited. Did that, started a new piece only to realize after 3 hours that I couldn't do it, and started the second promised piece. Meanwhile, just started my allegory, and have 20,000+ word piece from last year in the work for some other friends. Apparently, I like to stay busy.
