re: word count 16,264 ~

i am about 2,000 words short so far for NaNo (and i've already written about 3k this morning). it's not too bad a deficit, but i really really need to be finished by the 28th of november or it's just not going to happen. which puts me about 6-8k short, really, since i'm losing a few days at the end of the month.

i'm going to try to continue to write like the wind today and make up some of that deficit. the weekend is a wash with the moving sale and all ~ arghh! so i'll have to recoup that as well.

if i could write another 3 to 5 thousand words today, i would be happy ~ but the chances of that are looking meager, even if it is only 11 a.m. just so much else to do!

of course i'd have a better shot at it if i stop noodling in my livejournal and actually applied myself instead.

re: the move ~

i'm so sick of looking at boxes and piles. i've been working, but nothing looks any different lately. that's always discouraging. my goal for the day is to pack up all the loose odds and ends, find the dogs' paperwork, and clear the decks for the sale.

no luck finding a block heater ~ guess i'll have to get one once i get up there. nertz. gonna call the dealership alternative today and see what it would take to order one.

and now i have to go write a review of Adobe InDesign CS2 ~ which is work i owe to pay the $700 price tag on the software. more than a fair swap, i'd say!

As I've said before, I believe...I do not envy you with the moving. I've been very sloth-like in getting motivated to start going through my stuff to decide what I'm keeping and what's getting the boot. I do this every move and eventually, I'm hoping that I'll have rid myself of all unnecessary ephemera...But I find I just accumulate more. :P

Good luck on the review and the word count! :)
