actually went to the party at katz's and stayed until 2:30 a.m. ~ thought i did poorly for the kick-off at 1,800 words, but apparently that's not too bad for sitting around jabbering with a bunch of writers at a restaurant. i'm hoping to do another 2,000 before midnight tonight (maybe more) and so have a good lead since i know it will be a tough month.

the scenes i wrote last night are really awful. i mean worse than usual NaNo-bad. i don't think i write well in public. i don't think it will be conducive for anything for me to go to the write-ins ~ i just get all shumbly and claustrophobic ~ and without the ability to stop and pace and smooch the doggies, i have dreadful focus. (did i just say that without all the usual distractions i have no focus? yeah ~ okay, just wanted to verify that).

i have to do some real writing this morning. i better get to that so i can focus on NaNo for the rest of the day.

off we go ~ !

Don't feel bad, I only hit 1400 or so before I totally passed out and had to sleep. Stupid cold.

Also, right there with you on the moving thing--we're up and out of here on Friday for our new house, talk about fantastic timing. Not cross-country or anything, but still, not NaNo-friendly.

i hope you feel better and i hope your move goes smoothly ~ !

I've never done this... because I don't know if I could work under a crunch like that, or not. Maybe that speaks of my proffesionalism... but I want to write as I feel it. I would never have made it in public like that. LOL

I did only 1,823 words at around one in the morning today... then collapsed in my bed to sleep... we still have a few more hours left today to cram in some writing... haha, I'm going to try to slip in some more words before I meet with my physics study group!

Writing in public? O_O I don't know if I could do that. I like my privacy and my music when I write. There's a write-in this Friday where I am... I may try to go for the experience... but don't know how conducive that atmosphere will be for writing... :)

Good luck with the script writing, NaNo, and moving chores/activities! I said some prayers for you this weekend and today ~ :D

This is my first NaNo, and I've got less than 1000 at 9:44 p.m.

slow and steady wins the race ~ allow that some days the words will be thick as pitch and others free and spring water ~ !

good luck and welcome to the insanity!
