it's just simply amazing!
the things on my: "i don't wanna do these" list and the things on my "need to be done" list match up exactly.
simply astonishing.

you would not believe the mess that's stacked on my desk right now.
did i already say i've run out of boxes to pack stuff?
it's ten fifteen and i'm already tired.

i started writing this entry last night and then just ran out of steam. so i curled up in bed and read over my NaNo outline. it feels a wee short. i have a feeling i am going to end up writing a lot of long-winded descriptions of the forest and steams and other minutiae ~ or at least the characters will be having ridiculously protracted conversations about nothing much whatsoever. this is part of where L's deafness comes in handy.
it'll be fine ~ and then at the end when i am a thousand words short, i'll insert a homily about a man and his vineyards and all will be well.
i'll also write ridiculously long chapter titles for this one.
Chapter Thirty-Seven
Castramentation:
In which Doctor Beasely and Doctor Gwen
argue about the placement of beds
on the first-floor ward.
see? NaNo is a snap ~ if you know all the best tricks.

"Did you see that?" Art asked.so. bad.
Lewis turned to him, unsure he had spoken. "What?"
"I said did you see that?" Art repeated.
"See what?"
Art gestured. "Over there in the trees."
"What did you say?" Lewis asked.
"Look over there."
"What?"
Art pointed, this time more emphatically.
Lewis squinted and saw what Art was referring to. "Oh. I see," he said.
