i finished the sequence (squished 12 panels into 6 ~ not sure how i feel about that entirely) ~

it's losing a lot in the translation, so i'm not sure how i feel about that yet either.

i'm just going to live with it for a few days and see what i think later when i can get some perspective.

You are such a gifted artist and story teller that it is always a blessing to know you and to have you on my friend's list. Your entries always serve as an inspiration and reminder to me to not give up on writing and to try to focus and get it going.:)

Onto the sequence: How did you design the panels? Did you do it all by hand or was it done in a computer program? How did you design the bubbles and boxes? :) Awesome job! :)

thank you for the encouragement, greg ~ ! it reminds me to remind you that all of this comes with lots of fussing and kvetching on my part ~ that struggle is an essential part of the process (and you should never forget that) ~ so yeah: get going, you! create! create!

: D

as to the panels and whatnot, i painted the pictures in Painter 8 and made the balloons and panels in PhotoShop (in layers). i'm sure there's an easier way to do it digitally, but i sort of did it half with shapes and half by hand. i'm still much more comfortable in real media ~ much as i try to get this digital thing down, my impulses still yearn for good ol' brushes and paints. it's very hard for me to draw digitally. well, it's very hard for me to draw, period. hahahaha ~

tonight i am going to probably do some painting and scanning and see which comes out better.
