Guess my favourite characters. You get it right, I cross it off and explain why.
1. Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass
2. Les Miserables ~ annabellissima got this one right: Eponine ~ of all the "miserables" I always felt she suffered the most. even valjean had happy moments and died a peaceful death. eponine was too good for silly marius and had such awful parents! i always swore i would write a book in her honor to even the score.
3. Narnia ~ psalm23 got this one right: Aslan ~ too easy! i'm a leo. ha ~ !
4. The Marvel Universe
5. The Original Star Wars Trilogy ~ magdalene74 got this one: Darth Vader ~ how can you not love this guy? after three films of evil incarnate, he's redeemed in the end by his love for his son ~ that's pretty potent stuff! not to mention he was just really cool.
6. HBO's Deadwood (any watchers out there?)
7. Watership Down (is this too obscure?)
8. Final Fantasy Unlimited (the series)
9. Alan Moore's From Hell (or Rumblelow's Casebook for Jack the Ripper ~ anyone else ever play hunt the Ripper?)
10. Star Trek (the original series) ~ baranoouji got this one right: Mr. Spock ~ must be those ears. He always got the most sympathetic storylines too ~ getting shot, bit by the pancake monsters, losing his brain, the whole mating ritual thing, antagonism with his sick father, and ultimately getting killed in the second movie. you gotta feel for the guy. : D

You got Aslan right.
Javert is really really close. I sometimes think he's my favorite character because there are certain things I identify with him about, but he falls into slot number two next to one other.

I had no idea you liked FFU! Awesome. Something tells me we have more in common than we know! =^_^=
My feeble guesses:
1. The Cheschire Cat
2. I thought for SURE that it would have been Jean Valjean! Hmm.... how about Eponine?
4. Um... without a hint to narrow it down, I'll guess... Benjamin Grimm? Uh.. Bruce Banner? Proudstar? =@_@= So many to choose from! Need clue! ;p
5. The entire trilogy, eh? Yoda?
6. (Never seen it)
7. Hmmmmm..... Hyzenthlay? *eep*
8. Fabra?
9. (Never Heard of it)

no yoda ~ that was already guessed.
hyzenthlay is a good guess, but no cigar (i doubt anyone will get this one) ~ no one reads this book anymore ~ hahahahaha.
no Fabra. i don't know if i am a fan ~ i played a character in the dub and wrote the english version of the series. it's a fun show.

Eponine's self-denial and sacrifice is mind-blowing.
I'm curious as to why Eponine (and all of these others) ARE your favorite characters. Will you be telling us later? ;)
As for not giving us a clue for Marvel, BLEH! =^_~=
Love!

here's a big one: he was totally hot in the late 70s and later they brought him back in a tepid do-over in the 90s (blech) ~ it was a series which mercifully died a quick death.

over and didnt come back to it in time.
would not have guessed many anyway, but I did
like the Ghost Rider comics and also
the Blue Devil which was a DC and sort of
humorous but in some way free associate to it.
I did not like Son of Satan because it was
too involved with nonsense about the devil...
I suppose Ghostrider was too but somehow as
you say it was attractive.
