it's update day over at Reconstruction. this is the third (and last) old page being recycled. i changed up the first panel and i'm happy with it ~ the rest not so much, but i hope the scene fills in some necessary important information.
yesterday i started drawing the page introducing States Morse. i'm not accustomed to drawing him without his bushwhacker locks, so it was a struggle. i may yet still fuss with it. i've always wanted his hair to be floofier before it grows out (i had a friend with the kind of hair i'm talking about: just sort of wild and thick and prone to stand on end if not kept under control).
i'll work on it.

i didn't mean to introduce Morse in a profile, but there you have it. it's interesting drawing these characters so fresh-faced before the trials of war. they look so young and innocent (which is, i guess, what i was going for). it'll be a nice contrast for later.
