i have had a fabu day ~ no work, all play.

got a lot done for it being a day off: got an oil change, went bookshopping, bought hair products (hey, i have a lot of hair), made enchiladas (the world's most perfect lenten food), washed all the dishes (no minor feat, lemme tell ya), watch a little Smallville (i'm still rooting for lex luthor on this one), and now i'm settling down to some la france pear tea and writing like there's no tomorrow (except that there is a tomorrow and i have that off too (and the next!!!) ~ whoohoo!

life is good.

and the best thing about all this delirium is that i am actually mondo happy with what i've written so far tonight. it's nice to feel "on" finally.

later i will sink into a warm downy bed with the dogs and finish reading a couple of books.

happy evening friends ~ !

Oh, this is so great to hear! All of it sounds wonderful (hair products! enchiladas!) but especially that you're happy with your writing.

Yay for that. Big yay. Very big yay!

Any chance you'll share that enchilada recipe?

Yes please! I've always wanted to learn to make them, and the "some of this, some of that" school of cooking is fine with me.

Ditto and YAY for days off! There really is nothing quite like that feeling of being "on" in writing!!

Nothing quite like the feeling of writing something, and knowing that it's "right". :)

friend away ~ ! a friend of Cat's is welcome with joy!

i have to warn you though, i tend to blog about a lot of stuff research-related, so you may find dry reading ahead ~ but if you can put up with a lot of 19th century geekery, you are more than welcome to it.

i hope you don't mind me friending you back!
