so it turns out you can't hotlink from your lj to another webspace (well you can, but you can only view the images if you have an lj and are logged in as well). bummer. this is all sad and tragic because here i was thinking i had 2GB of lovely room to sprawl in, but alas, it is not to be.

i tried webshots, but the degeneration on the upload renders it pretty useless (these are not large files, people. and at 72dpi, you would think you wouldn't need to scale them down any more). so we're back to imageshack, which has always been sorta a snot to work with, but it's really been faithful for a lot of years now.

so, that being settled, i am almost done customizing the new website for Reconstruction (it took me longer than expected to work out the navigation ~ couldn't quite get it to do precisely what i wanted, but the compromises are tolerable at the moment).

i'm syndicating the posts to Reconstruction so that they will feed into my lj here (tentatively setting the launchdate for October 28th). i don't post that often so it won't increase traffic on your flist by much, but if for some reason you don't want to be included ~ or if the stuff gets too weird or too graphic or too something for you ~ let me know and i will make a filter and take you out of the loop.

and i was going to do a meme or something, but can't find an interesting one. oh well.

I don't know if this helps, but you could also probably use photobucket and tinypic to host images. My main one is photobucket, but whenever I've exceeded my monthly limit with them (with pulp novel covers and Lost screen caps) I let imageshack shoulder the burden.

i guess i should sign up for photobucket and give it a try ~ thank you!

I DO ...I DO ...

I wanna be included! :-D

I'm sorry everything is so futzburger. I'll be very happy to read Reconstruction right here (or anywhere else).

Re: I DO ...I DO ...

everything is fine and foodle ~ it's all just froth and fizz.

i might occasionally f-lock some of my stuff (for one reason or another), but you can always see everything at the home site (which is finally about finished ~ yay!)
