NaNo starts Monday at midnight and i've pretty much forgotten all about it.

the house is still turned upside down and i'm supposed to be showing it Novembr 1st.

i've run out of boxes to pack stuff in.

the loft i was coveting in st. paul will prolly be already rented by someone else by sunday (ah well, it was too expensive anyway, perhaps).

i'm not nearly finished writing the six scripts that are due soon!

all that, and i'm not sure i understand this meme:

My blog is worth $6,209.94.
How much is your blog worth?

my livejournal blog was worth $0.00, but my website is worth $6,209.94. okay, that's nice, but huh?

tasks for the day:
1. get more boxes!

2. fill up the trash bin (it's nearly there!)

3. write a script and a half at least! how about at least a script?

4. finish winnowing out all the file cabinet stuff.

i have entirely too much to do.

guess i better get to it!

taking a break between writing scripts and cleaning house, i suddenly felt the wretched pain of prompt withdrawal. seeing as the [livejournal.com profile] nano_prompt community hasn't updated, i went in search of my own. i skipped a few that weren't really very telling.

it's just simply amazing!

the things on my: "i don't wanna do these" list and the things on my "need to be done" list match up exactly.

simply astonishing.

you would not believe the mess that's stacked on my desk right now.

did i already say i've run out of boxes to pack stuff?

it's ten fifteen and i'm already tired.

i started writing this entry last night and then just ran out of steam. so i curled up in bed and read over my NaNo outline. it feels a wee short. i have a feeling i am going to end up writing a lot of long-winded descriptions of the forest and steams and other minutiae ~ or at least the characters will be having ridiculously protracted conversations about nothing much whatsoever. this is part of where L's deafness comes in handy.
"Did you see that?" Art asked.

Lewis turned to him, unsure he had spoken. "What?"

"I said did you see that?" Art repeated.

"See what?"

Art gestured. "Over there in the trees."

"What did you say?" Lewis asked.

"Look over there."

"What?"

Art pointed, this time more emphatically.

Lewis squinted and saw what Art was referring to. "Oh. I see," he said.

so. bad.

it'll be fine ~ and then at the end when i am a thousand words short, i'll insert a homily about a man and his vineyards and all will be well.

i'll also write ridiculously long chapter titles for this one.

Chapter Thirty-Seven
Castramentation:
In which Doctor Beasely and Doctor Gwen
argue about the placement of beds
on the first-floor ward.

see? NaNo is a snap ~ if you know all the best tricks.
