periodically in LookingLand we run a RPG ~ usually historical in nature, and often rather silly (though the last one became Eleison which, if you have been following my journal, was published this summer (not as an RPG, but the character of Nimbaabaa Waabooz originated there).
(and now that i think of it, the character of Father Niccolo in Witnesses of the Locust at Eden's Edge also originated in an RPG!)
and so, in the spirit of hoping for good things, we're tentatively ramping up for a new game.
the particulars are as follows:
Format: vB forum text-based
Genre: Historical; Civil War
Name: Andersonville
Contact:
lookingland (just post anywhere in my journal) or visit the forum below
Website: LookingLand ~ Andersonville
Minimum Age Requirement: 18+
Deadline: ongoing; players welcome to come and go
( More Information on the Game )
i am inviting anyone and everyone to play. if you're daunted by the subject matter, the historical period, or by RPGing in general, feel free to ask questions, poke your nose, and trust that it's not only very easy to learn, but scads of fun to play and i will provide you everything you need.
i believe in a low-key, low-pressure game that is character-driven ~ this is an opportunity to hone your writing skills, test-drive a new character, and explore a new setting (albeit an unsettling one), and just have some interactive fun.
