hap-v-day all!

i've never celebrated this day much, but this morning one of my cheery co-workers gave us all chocolate-covered oreos with little red hearts on them. so i figgered why not be in the spirit of the thing? love the world a little!

i know there's lots of peeps throwing themselves pity parties or spending money on chocolate and geegaws ~ or criticizing the people who are spending money on chocolates and geegaws. so here's an idea for all of you who feel needlessly aggravated:

today, celebrate the love you have to give.

Love is a canvas
furnished by Nature
and embroidered
by imagination.

OOoo! Those Oreos sound yummy!

And, to add to your theme, a quotation from one of my fav songs, written by the great team of Rodgers and Hart:

Each day is Valentine's day.

Hap-v-day to you too! :)

That's sweet--and a good idea. :)

That's what I'm trying to do myself. It feels good!

Lots and LOTS of free food (and candy) at work have helped put me in the mood! :D

it's not so contrived when you earnestly celebrate it from it's origin.

but what holy day hasn't america bastardized with consumerism and blindered stupidity?

that's a rhetorical question.

Because I'm sure most of the population does. :-p
