weirdness lately.
i shut down over the weekend and didn't get the motor started until about 6:30 sunday night. put on Master and Commander and suddenly i had all kinds of energy to do all kinds of things. so much so, i watched it nearly twice (turned it off about halfway through the second time). i dunno why i couldn't be bothered before or why i "woke" up then, but i guess there's no point in questioning: onward!
i worked on the website for most of sunday night. a lot of what i did isn't visible yet, but the new homepage is sort of showing (linked to the old pages still, but hey, the site is no longer "down"). i fixed whatever weirdness happened when i reinstalled nucleus (sorta ~ it's still a little kvetchy, but i'm redesigning it, so that's okay). and i built a new home for Reconstruction (which isn't online yet, but will be shortly). it's going to be radically different, this new incarnation. i think i have finally figured out what i want from it and i'm hoping i can just do it and stop fretting over the silly thing. (yes, virginia, that was a pig with wings that just flew by).
and of course, all this revitalization when i've got an ADV contract staring down at me (quite viciously, in fact). i'm gonna be busier than a one-armed paper-hanger with a broken thumb in the next few weeks.
thank you to everyone who voted on the quotes last week. here they are in full:

The sum which two married peoplewhat i am working on at the moment has a wedding theme. i'm having fun with it.
owe to one another defies calculation.
It is an infinite debt,
which can only be discharged
through all eternity.~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Whatever souls are made of, his and mine are the same.~ Emily Bronte
Come live with me and be my love,
And we will some new pleasures prove
Of golden sands and crystal brooks,
With silken lines and silver hooks.~ John Donne
