i am practicing being at peace.

for example: i signed up for the novel in 90 thing that some of my flist peeps are getting involved with. then i realized that i was being a sheeple, that i would resent the bridle, and that i would find myself once again in a competetive morass that is both meaningless and misery-making. so i quickly unsigned.

then i ditched lj for the weekend and abandoned myself to the wonders of getting other things done.

i built my brother's gallery: JCARR Studios (not quite finished, but shaping up nicely ~ check it out!). i will work more on the rest of the site this coming weekend.

i also worked on my latest randomest writing/drawing project (about which i will say nothing so as to see where it will go in the next week or so).

i washed dishes, i did a wee bit of organizing, i watched two great movies this weekend (Children of Men and The General), and i started reading a fabulous book that was a gift from

utter_scoundrel (and which came wrapped in bacon-paper no less! i am humbled by the joy).

all-in-all a great weekend and though a busy monday, i am feeling no pain.
