today is morse's birthday (how geeky is that, i actually am cognizant of my character's birthdays ~ oy) ~
at any rate, i thought it only fair that i should make a paper doll of him too. it came out okay ~ not sure yet if i'm happy with the face, but meanwhile i am having a hard time picking which bird to put in his hand. the base doll needs a bird and then the cassock needs a bird. i was going to draw a cardinal instead of a dove, but got supremely lazy.
at any rate, i mocked up the variations to see which oughta go where and i still can't decide. and yes, i know he's got no shoes on ~ i'll deal with that later ~ ha!

And yes, you did. ;B
Yer welcome! And a bird preference? Ooh...well...*looks at several bird books she's got, sheepish grin* I tend to go towards ravens and crows a lot, though I like doves, too, and eagles/falcons/hawks. XD; But the ravens and crows rule the roost. :P;

the story is not currently online ~ i am hoping it will be (or part of it perhaps) this spring ~ but thank you for asking.
you can meet my other priest character here ~> Eleison (http://www.lookingland.com/blog/serials/eleison/eleison.html) ~ that is sort of an experimental site i started (am working on the redesign even as i type) ~
i thought long and hard about the possibility of a raven, but it just seems too obvious to me ~ and it's been used so much (the Crow, etc.) ~ the owl is my character's main bird, but he has a few others he hangs out with. maybe i'll make a raven ~ something to think on.

And yer welcome. *^^* Aiee, I know what it's like to want to have a story online, but do you ever like...get distracted by a whole lot of other things and you just never seem to be able to get it up at all? *has been going through that a lot, has been wanting to put up her story since last year, but...rewrites...life...stuff...laziness...etc... :P*
*read the first three chapters* Man, wowzers, that story's really chilling me...it's very interesting. :D I'm curious though, the exorcisms, are they really based on real rites or is it like half based and half from your imagination? *^^* Where did you get the info for that? And how did you get the inspiration for your story? *sorry for all these questions, dies* :P
About the info about exorcism rites...in my story, there's going to be a few of those...well, it's not like *all* my characters are possessed (ROFL!), but three of them are, at different arcs of the story...and...*is totally ignorant of really deep stuff, as she's still learning about her faith...* And...I have no clue how to go about that...I mean, I'm nowhere near those bits just yet, but I'm just looking for some info. *^^*;;
True, it has been used a lot...well, for weird purposes anyway. But no one would expect a priest to have a raven, right? :P
Anywho, sorry for this long post of doom. *^_^*;;

thank you for your comments on the story ~ it has a long way to go in process, but it's started.
as to your question about the exorcisms, they're drawn on the Roman Rite, but there are fantasy elements incorporated (obviously you don't extract demons by stabbing people ~ in fact, i have been strongly considering whether this is irresponsible writing on my part, but i think i can word it in a way that it will work) ~
excorcisms are long, complicated processes and nothing like you see in the movies. i would like to include more of the prayer aspect of the rite, but finding balance is tough at the moment.
the thing about salt is supposedly true.
most of this comes from, again, the Roman rite and from the Vatican exorcist (goodness, whose name escapes me) ~
but it's largely fantasy, unfortunately.
long-winded enough answer? hahahahaha ~
