had to come to campus to pay some bills and it's nice to be here ~ off in a quiet place alone on the third floor of the CDC, overlooking the snow, and with plenty of time to kill before class begins.
this morning i finished my homework much more quickly than i anticipated. so instead of jumping on the next thing, i attacked a huge chunk of the redesign on Reconstruction. you can see it here. i still have a lot of work to do to bring the whole site up to par, but it's looking better already with the handful of changes i've made. I added pages for a Construction Scrapbook for the manor (not much there yet, but there will be soon); and a preliminary Environs page. Looking forward to filling both sections out. i also like the way the Settings looks now with the map. i think it came out cool.
: D
i definitely feel a stronger sense of ownership about the project already (even if i did wuss out on the "settings" section for the time being). no more sort of half-patched graphics and now a better sense of overall uniformity. i've still got a lot of work to do in the character section, but right now the thought of drawing all those places is more than somewhat daunting. i've got the principals up for now and i'll try to build the others slowly. for the minor characters, i'll prolly just include their names without pictures. i have to keep reminding myself that they're all going to age and i don't want to draw fifty million images.
so i was supposed to launch Season Three today. the first episode is still not written, but i worked on it today and i really like what i'm seeing with it so far. I've always said Lewis' voice is easy to write and so it flows out without difficulty. if you want to get freudian or anything, yes, i think his voice is most like my own. at least some aspect of it. i don't tend to identify with my characters all that much, but there certainly are little pieces of me in all of them, i can't deny that. so if you want to know what i sound like when i talk (as opposed to my "writing" voice here), well there you have it. i just have a bigger vocabulary than he does ~ ha!
anyway, i just realized that i need to update the faq page. if you have any questions about this project and feel like asking them (frequently or not), feel free!
