i'm feeling kinda woggly today ~ if you take a young ostrich by the neck and wag it back and forth a little, that's your basic woggle (in case you were wondering). it comes from a phrase: woggling the ostrich (of obscure origins).

somewhere in the east they believe if you dream of ostriches, it's a portent of death. man there's some random stuff in my head.

anyway, i foresee a long day of work ahead of me and a lot of evasion of that work. i did no homework yesterday ~ just dinna feel up to it. tried to go to bed early, but found myself wandering around at 2 a.m. with a clogged sinus.

i went to confession yesterday (squeee!) ~ is it a bad thing to think your priest is cute? i don't mean cute as in attractive, i mean cute as a button ~ that sort of cute. i mean, for one thing, he's about five feet tall with his shoes on. if i were inclined to pick fights in sand boxes, i think i could easily take him. secondly, i'm pretty sure he said "oh gee, well..." in the confessional, which is just hilarious to me. it's like being absolved by beaver cleaver. i don't know who sounded more apologetic: him or me! at any rate, he's a good confessor: sweet-natured, active listener, and genuinely tries to be helpful in a personal way. i'm more accustomed to getting a lecture and a penance, but he was very chatty and asked a lot of questions, which reminded me of father bud ~ so i felt at home. i had all manner of anxiety going not knowing what to expect, but i won't be skeered at all next time.

: D

i think as part of the day's evasion, i'll take the aminals to the park ~ but first: work, vanya, work work.

Ah. For a second I thought you meant another example of "Father What A Waste". *snerk*

The title of this post made me laugh out loud! German is just a naturally funny language :)

I love German. That's why I've been taking three years of it. :P

I hope you feel better. I myself was sick not too long ago. ><

I've been having a hard time finding a good confessor-priest. What you posted about your priest reminds me a bit of our old pastor, although, as I recall, he wore glasses. (And then he decided to switch parishes and become a monsignor.)

I think "Oh gee, well..." just made my day. XD

meant to ask, but how is the blockbuster thing going? Still a positive experience? Disks arriving allright, no problems with them sending them? No scratches,etc...?

not only does he have coke-bottle thick dark-rimmed glasses, but hamster cheeks as well.

i kid you not.

A garden gnome priest! I know one of those! He looks so cute in his bishop's hat (which I know has a proper name, but I can't remember it) because it's as tall as he is!

And, I like wogglische....I think I'd like to be a Woegglischen!

it really is ~ one of the most amusing things on the X-files dvd release is clips dubbed into other languages. i always listen to the german and japanese versions because they are hilarious ~ the german especially because they have to talk soooo fast to fit all those syllables into the mouth flaps. it's kind of amazing, actually.

so far so good ~ another plus with blockbuster is that they process on saturdays (netflix does not) ~ makes a difference in the turnaround time!

they have a free trial ~ you should just try it for yourself and see if you like it.
