This thread has been kicking around a long time and I'm still reading Interior Castle ~ even though it's slow going, I enjoy it very much and when I send time meditating on things it says, I've found a great deal of wisdom, humor, and sound advice from which to learn.

We're not quite halfway through the book and there's still a lot to read and discuss. In the second mansion of Chapter 1, Saint Teresa says:

provided we do not abandon our prayer, the Lord will turn everything we do to our profit, even though we may find no one to teach us.

Good reminder to take responsiblity fot completing the study ~ with or without someone to guide me.
