Eleison ~

i decided i was fed up waiting for someone to get on the stick about the holy land rpg ~ seems we were all out of our element unfortunately and i didn't like having to drive it. not that i didn't love the character of father niccolo, i just have no clue about traveling to the holy land in the 16th century ~ !

so i decided to start a new game (low pressure, just as a goof, really) ~ this time with a setting and characters i am more familiar with.

so welcome to the world of Jean Marithé Baptiste, a missionary in 1835 in North America somewhereabouts, living in an Ojibwe village. full-time missionary, part time gardner, painter, baker of pies ~ and occasional demon slayer. Anyone who wants to play is free to join.

What's this about?

good question ~ i have only a small idea ~ the rest we make up as we go along. people pick characters in the village and we build a story around them together (in the link above you'll see that medicine man "wanni" has arrived for pie ~ and with a problem to be solved). anyone is allowed to make up a character and play along.

~~~
as a writer, i think part of my calling is to encourage vocations ~ so i have a series of priest heroes in various eras (and one convent of nuns). Nimbaabaa Waabooz is my latest creation, so he's sort of just forming in my head ~ hence the game as a means of "getting to know" him so that his personality will be well-rounded before I begin to write his book.
and that is likely more information than you wanted to know, but thank you for asking.
it's a fun game and good for keeping the writing limber ~ also an opportunity to do research along the way.
No, that sounds cool, I've just never done anything like that before. I might lurk if that's ok.
lurk, pull up a seat, have tea, play ~ whatever you are comfortable with ~ we don't bite.
