all right, i didn't time this one, but it feels like it took me all day (though i guess i was doing other things as well) ~ to my knowledge, this is the first picture of sid and heck i've ever drawn (interesting that a book that's sat on my shelf for eight years now never warranted me drawing pictures for it). i'm not sure i got sid right ~ he looks like a 17 year-old Tiger Beat star instead of a beat-up twenty-something with bad teeth. i also just realized right now that i didn't even draw the scar on his forehead (it's his one identifying mark!). ah well. heck came out all right.

the picture is overall "okay" ~ it definitely has a different feel to it. i could get to like the process. part of me is bucking it because i want the colors back, but there's something about how spare this is that's also attractive for me.

babble babble babble.

Can you mix styles, and do pictures based upon what you feel they need? Or do you want them to be uniform?

it's a good question ~ but i'm a die-hard uniformity freak. inconsistency makes me a little bonkers ~ hahahahaha ~
