Yes, America has some horrible, ugly sores and scabs. And to think that some of them happened within the last 60 years or so... Those things should most definitely be ripped right off and exposed to the light. How else will we heal from them and ensure that it never happens again? I think you're right in pointing out all of the ugliness that we have in our past. I think more people should be that honest about our history. It's how we learn and move forward... and we are learning... slowly but surely.
