I don't know a thing about the writer/director at all, so put me down for 'cautiously optimistic.'

Most times, I'd rather see no adaptation than a subpar one.

i guess since i don't know anything about these guys, i am hopeful as well. of course they cast some gorgeous guy for the lead, but i'm willing to go with it. better they had cast some lance henrikson-looking fellow (or just lance henrikson!), but, well, i guess we'll see.
