just when you thought it was safe ~

it's update day! last page of the prologue. whew! next monday i actually have to start telling something like a story, i guess. eeeeek!

man, monday and thursday are not that far apart, are they?

in other news, something dangerous:

just a digital doodle mind you, but doodling is a gateway drug, you know. this is how bad things happen, even to bad people.

mind you, i'm not saying i'm immediately going down this dreadful path, but i am considering its possibilities. it's a lot to undertake when i've already got one comic struggling at bat. but i promised myself that i would work on this project over spring break and try to finish that elusive draft before the next anniversary swings around (gadzooks, it's been a year already!).

i would share a picture of my hideous desk and the mess thereon, but it scandalizes even me at the moment, so my task for the morning is to try to wrangle it under control (or else nothing will get done on any project in the near future.

i need to stop making promises.

I think I understand. Daring to pen a snippet, for instance... occasionally leads to a novel, if you're not careful.

hahahahaha ~ exactly! sometimes if you don't commit anything to paper, it can remain a free-roaming idea without threatening the population. it's once you fence it in that all havoc breaks loose.

soooooooooooooooo much!

It's stunningly gorgeous...really excellent. I'm so proud of you, boo boo. And you have totally met TWO DEADLINES.

Did I understand correctly that you're toying with the idea of adding yet another project to your pile?

yeeks.

thank you moo! yes, i am trying to meet a deadline (or two!) ~ hahahahahaha.

i'm thinking of adding an experiment to my pile to see whether i should turn my assassination book into something less fraught (because at the moment it's overwrought with fraught).

i don't want to make light of it though (because in my heart of hearts i do take some it seriously, after all), and i don't want to risk becoming some lunatic anti-lincoln pro-rebel apologist (if it's not too late).

so everything is in a delicate balance at the mo.
