it being a historical day and all, i feel i must share a few thoughts at least.
i didn't cry and i didn't stay up too late. i just waited for that one more little state to turn blue and then i turned in. thank you virginia for not keeping me up ~ (it being a foregone conclusion that california would vote blue).
i am cautiously hopeful. it'll be some time before we see any changes and i'm not interested in hysterical pronouncements or doomsday predictions or anything like that. let's let the man work and see if he can't do better than the last man ~ and let's all hope, whatever our party affiliations, that temperance, wisdom, and prayerfulness accompanies our commander-in-chief in all of his decisions.
no matter what, God's running the show. America, yesterday you proved you can be bothered to show up and participate in the running of your country. let's hope that spirit dominates this new era.
