i've been too busy to sit down at the computer for the last two days. this means a couple of things: 1.) i haven't written a word for NaNo since Friday, and 2.) i have skimmed most of my friends' list posts and so unless you were having a crisis, i prolly haven't responded (and likely won't as i am getting caught up ~ sorry!)
had a moving sale on saturday and it was good. i sold a lot and got a pile of cash, but didn't sell nearly enough and i'm frankly too tired of it all to try again next weekend. i'm going to post a few things to craigslist, dump all the books and CDs at Half Price Books, and then i'm calling Saint Vincent's and telling them to send a truck for the rest.
the move is still not progressing to my satisfaction, but hopefully by tomorrow i will finish my InDesign review, catch up on the NaNo slippage, and get the mover people lined up. this weekend i did accomplish getting the house leased (whew!), getting the dogs outfitted (sweaters and booties ~ they're gonna look retarded), buying sangria for my sister (local vinyard stuff), and getting snow boots and a hat for myself (a very fuzzy hat ~ i'll look more Russian now than i ever did before!)
i still feel like i am taking too much "stuff" with me. even getting rid of the sale stuff and the donation stuff, i seem to have far too many boxes and furniture pieces. it buggeth me, but i don't know what else i could get rid of.
tomorrow i have a pile of errands to run so it'll prolly be wednesday or so before i have a break to leisurely do much. meanwhile my walls are bare and the clutter is starting to depress me.

i had foie gras and pork bellies for supper on Friday. no, i'm not kidding. yes, i do have a bit of a moral conundrum about eating foie gras, but if you ever tasted it prepared just right, you would know how evil the sheer delight of it is. and pork bellies are just yum. Eat Mor Pig. yeah, it was all very fattening and totally not on my diet, but i'm leaving soon and i feel the need to eat at all my favorite joints before i go. i think i have hit everything in this last month ~ saving the BLT at Club Casino for the last, i think. farewell, BLT, you are the bomb.
