la la la la ~

there's this big storm coming.

people seem to be in a mild panic around here. nothing too severe, but the grocery store is wiped out and you can feel tension on the road. the highway is backed up to houston from the looks of it as people are arriving in droves.

it's just insane.

I'm hunkering down with the first season of Carnivale and just chillin' until i see the whites of its eye. i have crackers, cheese, Coke, and candles (what more could anyone really need?)

i watched the first part of Carnivale and am disturbed by how so much of it visually and thematically is so similar to something i am writing. that's always so depressing.

i had a really good phone interview this morning. please please please pray for me that i might be able to get this job. i could not need it more desperately.

this morning while buying candles and a few basic staples for the weekend in case of power outtages, i thought: i really need new bedsheets (my dog tore the one i have now) ~ i thought: i would reallyu feel much better about myself if i had new bedsheets. so i spent $30 on bedsheets. and then i felt really depressed about having spent $30 on bedsheets. for the month of september so far i've made $135.

so yeah, i really really really need this job.
