last night averted possum no. 3 by batting one out of a tree with a stick. didn't mean to whack it so hard, but possums are clingy little beasties with little hands and twining tails ~ i tried to shove it down, but it was holding tight! don't know where it ended up, poor thing. but so long as it wasn't in the jaws of the dogs (and subsequently in my bed) i guess i don't really care.

i need to stop goofing off, quit with this 3 am insomnia business, and get to writing! so now that i am up, i think i shall.
