Series Synopsis

A one-eyed millionaire with a penchant for mischief and bawdy amusements, his demure religious wife who tolerates his every infidelity, an alcoholic ex-officer suffering from a dangerous post-war trauma, and a naive orphan rebelling against foster aunts who are trying to bring her up under strict religious training: they all made it through the war at great personal cost. Now sharing their lives may be an invitation to disaster, but sometimes survival is the most important thing people have in common.

Inspired by, and in the spirit of, pioneer online web serial Liberty Creek, Reconstruction follows the post-Civil War trials, losses, and loves of a group of near strangers who will come to intimately rely on one another for the essential hope that makes their lives worth living.

EPISODE ONE

The State of the Union ~ Homefronts have never been so unsettled now that the weary travelers have returned from the war. Fitting in after so many years isn't easy, and none of them seem to be trying very hard either.

The Hunters have arrived in remote Faigerston with seriously bad news for the local residents, the Fletchers are struggling just to manage the occasional civil conversation, and orphan Amy must contend with her overbearing aunts as they meddle in her love life. If home is where the heart is, nobody's found it quite yet.
