Day Five: Goodie Proctor's got My Poppet
last night i was reading about barges in bed and managed not to have nightmares. i dunno if this is a good thing or a bad thing. either way, i got engaged in the reading and didn't start my outline. as usual, i feel overwhelmed by all the details (and on second read, a little distrustful, actually, of my main source).

add Reverend Razor to the ever-burgeoning cast.

i had considered folding several of these characters into one (like Mr. Hanty and Mr. Mad), but the part of me that insists that this story be truthful won't allow it (that, and Mr. Hanty and Mr. Mad seem, upon further reading, somewhat on the opposite ends of the ambivolence spectrum).

and then there's Mr. Eck, a villain of the most suspicious caliber. the more i know about him, the less i like him. while i don't intend to make explicit any accusations (since i can't prove anything), i do intend to write this with heavy-handed insinuations.
man, these posts are vague.

here's something concrete: i went shopping today. i bought a pair of hilfiger jeans for $2.99.

then i went to midway books and bought a copy of Dark Union for twelve bucks. i spend, as a rule, probably 500 times more on books than i do on clothes. and yes, i could have got the book online for about $6 cheaper, but then i woulda had to order it and wait for it and this one has a fancy mylar cover and everything.

i have officially bored myself stupid trying to write this entry.

guess i better go work on that outline.

i don't think it's until people see my books that they understand why i wear the same three black mock turtles and three black t-shirts every week (okay, in fairness i have two or three others in varying colors).

hey, what happened to Lookingland community

Hey there, been away from the Lookingland community too long and it is in reconstruction mode. YIKES. So this is the former Seeker that really never wrote stories like Boots and the gang did, I was more into debating religious stuff and probably politics back then. What is the deal with this LiveJournal? Do I have my own blog here or what?

I am curious to chit chat with old acquaintances and see where everyone's heart is. It's been a wild 2 years for me. I think I need to come out of my shell and start writing.

Boots if you are there, splain to me what you're doing here and not at Lookingland. Please.

howdy seeker ~ !

lookingland the community still exists at the same old spot here online (http://www.lookingland.com/board) ~ it's just gone "dark" for a while since i left texas and moved on with my life into doing other things. some of the peeps from there are still around, blogging, or whatever, but we've been mostly too busy or occupied with life, etc.

as for this journal, i've had this here for going on three or four years now, so it almost always co-existed.

welcome to lj! there's plenty of communities to join out there if you're looking to start up discussions on all of your favorite topics ~ good luck!

Hi boots thanks for replying. I guess we've all found new things to occupy our time. I cannot even recall what I came across that made me think of posting something at Lookingland. But I found my userid and signed in to find it looked different.

I think I am going to get a copy of the first book in the "Eleison" series. Sounds interesting. My father-in-law might enjoy it too.

Take care.
