blah blah blah and a $3 bill will get you a pair of jeans.
Day Five: Goodie Proctor's got My Poppet
here's something concrete: i went shopping today. i bought a pair of hilfiger jeans for $2.99.
then i went to midway books and bought a copy of Dark Union for twelve bucks. i spend, as a rule, probably 500 times more on books than i do on clothes. and yes, i could have got the book online for about $6 cheaper, but then i woulda had to order it and wait for it and this one has a fancy mylar cover and everything.
i have officially bored myself stupid trying to write this entry.
guess i better go work on that outline.

last night i was reading about barges in bed and managed not to have nightmares. i dunno if this is a good thing or a bad thing. either way, i got engaged in the reading and didn't start my outline. as usual, i feel overwhelmed by all the details (and on second read, a little distrustful, actually, of my main source).man, these posts are vague.
add Reverend Razor to the ever-burgeoning cast.
i had considered folding several of these characters into one (like Mr. Hanty and Mr. Mad), but the part of me that insists that this story be truthful won't allow it (that, and Mr. Hanty and Mr. Mad seem, upon further reading, somewhat on the opposite ends of the ambivolence spectrum).
and then there's Mr. Eck, a villain of the most suspicious caliber. the more i know about him, the less i like him. while i don't intend to make explicit any accusations (since i can't prove anything), i do intend to write this with heavy-handed insinuations.

And yeah, for me -- books, CDs, and DVDs (and pet supplies) always run me way more than anything clothes related. Passions vs. practicality. And that's a great deal on jeans!

man, i hear you about pet supplies. i think i spend more money on dogfood than i do on people food. for sure that was true when i was jobless.
