say buh-bye to poitry month:
apropos to everything i watched ray milland in The Lost Weekend yesterday. sometimes i think if i could have only been a drunk or a drug addict or obsessed with doing my hair i could lose myself far far away.
school is over. that's good.
i'm one spur short of hanging 'em all up. scrambling for meaning at the eleventh hour here.
as an act of self preservation, i've started a new Big Secret project (because God knows the seventeen i have in process aren't nearly enough).
the Big Secret project's big secret codename title is Goodie Proctor's got my Poppet.
just a few facts

yes, of course this is a historical piece. it takes place technically after the Civil War.happy monday all.
unlike most of my historical fiction, this one will have fewer fictional characters than real-life ones.
i'm confining my research to three main sources.
i'm not doing any extended research except to see if there exists some useful basic biographical information on my lead character, about whom i know almost absolutely nothing.
i need a "model" poppet ~ yes, the codename title is total goofweed, but there will be a poppet in the story (as a sidekick). i was imagining it to be wooden (and not wearing a dress), but i'm thinking a slave's doll might be an interesting choice. any doll afficionados on my flist?
starting today, i have 82 days to bang out a draft of this project (not a random number).
because of the subject matter, this one may have some commercial viability (oh nooooooo!)
: D
no subject
go git you one!
