warning: this is a totaly random entry.
i was attacked by a lamp cord and fell yesterday. i hurt something fierce. i'm getting too old for this sort of thing.
i put my flash drive in the washing machine this morning. miraculously it still works ~ yay!
i'm exhausted from weekend class and suddenly have so much homework i want to die.
day after tomorrow i will have been on paid-lj for a year. i guess i am renewing, but i couldn't exactly tell anyone why.
here's a really cool article from National Geographic about why we should fight to preserve Civil War battlefields.
i'm done rewriting the front half of "The Company We Keep" (changing the first person narrative into third person). i feel like i've made it work all right, but it's turned some of what i thought was really brilliant stuff into just so-so mediocre narrative. ah well. onward. i'm not unhappy with where i'm headed, so it'll all come out in the wash (i hope).

Yesand we stood about
up in Central Park
dropping coins in the fountains
and a harlequin
came naked among
the nursemaids
and caught them picking their noses
when they should have been
dancing~ lawrence ferlinghetti

Re: awwwww...
there's two ferlinghetti poems that i really like ~ the rest i feel just so-so about (so i wouldn't consider him a favorite poet per se).
re other: i am taking precautions by avoiding standing lamps until the coup is over.
