i wish i'd had a good history teacher growing up ~ i feel like i am continuously making up for so much lost time.

it's an interesting proof for me, i think, that a child's natural learning can be perilously thwarted by incompetent instruction.

i hated history classes as a child. i learned to love the field completely independent of school.
