got back in from san diego late monday night and i'm finally checking in. came home to a dead ethernet port and decided it was time to get a new 'puter (the old one was just starting to get decrepit and as i live and die by the internet, it was important i get back online). so i went to the mall of america where they have an Apple store and i bought a wee little MacBook as an interim computer, it's very wee. so it's going to take me a little time to get used to working on it.

as for Comic-Con ~ it was a blast as usual. we did even better than last year and i feel great about the trip overall. wish i had more energy to share the details, but my brother is going to send me pictures tomorrow and then maybe i'll be inspired to write something of more substance.

for the time being i just wanted to check is as i get reoriented. the house is a frustrating mess and i also need to do laundry, so these might be some quiet busy days. the heat is absolutely killing me as well. i guess i really do need to move more north.

i haven't a prayer of catching up on my flist. i hope you are all well and if i missed anything super exciting or important, let me know!

Aw, that's awesome about Comic-Con! ^_^ Sometimes I think it's easier to write about a trip when the pictures are in front of you. Replenishes the mental image and so forth.

Oh wow, I just clicked the linky you gave and talk about an impressive little computer! That's a lot of storage space for a carry-around. :D Hope the search for a new computer goes well~!

oh nooooooo ~ you've caught my "tilde" addiction.

i recommend the liberal application of lysol and fig newtons (to be used individually, not in tandem).

thanks for the welcome home! i see your week has not exactly been optimal in turn ~ but i look forward to reading your writing and getting caught up.

i hope things are as well as can be hoped for.

Haha! And hope the fig newtons haven't been "washed?" XD!

Aw, your welcome!

Thank you for the hope ~ am still recovering, but things are definitely getting better. ^_^

Yay for your return! I'm so glad Comic Con was great for you - I had a few friends that went and shared their experiences. Can't wait to read about yours!

Glad you're back around!

PS Patrick Doyle...bliss!

thanks ~ ! i guess i've not been around much lately ~ maybe that'll change now that the traveling is done with. i feel a wee overwhelmed trying to jump back in, but it's sure nice to see my friends!

I know that feeling - I arrived home to a mess of replies on my LJ (I did do a little reading of them while away, but not much) and all sorts of other goodies! So difficult to catch up!

What's the news on the work front for you now that you're back?
