reading about 19th-century chain-gangs (have long had an idea for a story and have yet to pursue it ~ last night had some ideas and am following through for a spell). anyway, found this online resource, which is from 1923, but is pretty telling.

had a nighmare about a car accident in the driveway at my parents' house resulting in a brutal, flaming decapitation, a dead drummer whose ghost shadow was cast on the porch floor, strange wind-up soft-toys racing in circles all over it, and the dog of skipperchong's girlfriend, jinx (with the rest of my pack) running in and out of the gate.

was it the raclette? or the sesame crackers that did it? i can't decide. (quietly pokes the absinthe further into the refrigerator door).

all this and i have disgusting triops growing in a wineglass on my kitchen window sill. ew. they need to go away. and how.
