Tolerance ~ Amy tries to take a stand against Sister Anne, the people of Faigerston try to negotiate with a Stonewall James, and after bad news from the doctor, Lewis's paranoia seems to be taking a potentially deadly turn.

Excerpt:

Lewis looked at the knee, disparaging. It was misshapen and lumpy. The zag of scars that crossed it and ran down his shin were like pink ribbons. "It don't drain no more," Lewis said, flustered. "I thought that was a good sign."

"It is a good sign, but see how it's all swelled up? That's not fluid, that's calcified bone and it's grinding to ruin the cartilage and the tendons in your knee. You're gonna cripple yourself, son. We need to open that up and cut the bone out."

"Well I ain't your son, first off, an' second, you know my Pa ain't got the resources for no operation. An' third, I know what happens if you cut into my leg. Next thing you see, it's gone gangrene an' you'll be hackin' it right off."
