It'll be no better in Chicago in a month or two. I'd recommend Michigan, but after living for 9 months there, no thanks. 'Sides, in addition to paying state and federal taxes come April it's one of the few backward states that requires you to pay a city tax as well. 3 forms and 2 different govt agencies to pay!

Maybe Canada or Maine or Norway would be more to your liking...
