the second book kept me up all night with that kind of anxiety: oh my God, it's going to be the priest, no, the woman! no, the priest! please no! but maybe! oh dear!

and i just love the relationship between montmorency and the doctor overall ~ it's absolutely brilliant and however implausible, not forced at all.
